It's Unreal
It's unreal what Leader Z has gotten away with. The evidence of it, in his own words, is set on this blog. The Baltimore Sun has allowed David Zurawik to act in an outlandish and unethical manner. As the Zeeple follow him into the sunset of hypocrisy, I am closing Zontvisnuts for comments and plan no more posts. I will leave this last post open awhile for any final comments. I'd like to thank everyone for their support. I hope it is never forgotten that Z on tv is nuts.

The work permit the kids were issued I didn't realize was posted here.
This is ABSOLUSTELY NOT the work permit I was told the kids 5 and under use. I spent quite a good amount of time on the phone, as we are concerned working with parents, and the work permit they use on a daily basis should a parent come to them with a child under 5 is THE ONE ON THE DOL WEBSITE!

That is the work permit. We went over the regulations.
Anyone can call, it's the 800 number on top of the work permit, hit #5 when u listen to the menu and then ask to talk to someone about the work permits.
So what's the story? There are other special work permits that come into play when there is a very special performance that went under the radar for 4 years and now they had to find something that wont' be specific to the word "employment"
Jeezie..these are kids for goodness sakes, why did all of this happen and why, again, Did Sandi Vito Secretary of Labor who was very worried about minors in entertainment with a previous bill and not step in and sort this out 4 years ago or more when this production came to town. Was there no way to work with this law..i'm not believing that.

She likes to think she has a higher purpose but she is participating in a witch-hunt. No legitimate advocate would join a hate group whose sole purpose is to bring down the mother with lies and rumors. While the Zeeple scurry to check the state laws of every state that the Gosselin family film in, not one has reported on the child labor laws or the rights of preemies in Baltimore. Nope - that would upset Leader Z and those preemies weren't born to Kate G.

ReplyDeleteSeveral people have written that they have forwarded the horrific video of the children's crying and desperate pleas to Jon to various people and shows. I think it is extremely important that all communications that accompany this video make it quite clear that the purpose in sending it is to provide a vivid example of how harmful it is for children to be on reality TV.
Clearly, this terrible scene is directly related to the life they have been forced to lead, and both parents are at fault. I think it will be far more powerful and credible if we resist the urge to use this video just to badmouth Kate (however deserving she is of it). If our communications sound like a personal vendetta against Kate (even though we are all keenly aware of her central role in this terrible ordeal the children continue to endure), they will not be taken as seriously.
I say we just keep hammering home the point about the dangers of using children in reality TV shows. If we keep the focus there, I am certain that Miss Kate will ultimately get her comeuppance.
Any thoughts?

Since the Post called it a "campaign trip" instead of "camping trip", I wonder if, when they called it a "historic meeting" they meant "hysteric meeting."
The whole food scenario sounds strange to me. The Palin's had hamburgers and hot dogs (which they probably packed themselves) and the Gosselin''s had prepackaged lunches packed by the crew?? I wish there was a more reliable source than The National Enquirer reporting this. Oh wait, it's a gossip magazine.
Totally o/t, but last night I let the dogs out before bed, and a big scorpion ran up my entryway toward my front door, which was open. Yikes! I'd never seen a big one. We have very small white-ish scorpions here that you can step on (I never go barefoot, even in the house), but this was big. I grabbed a rake and beat it to death and then couldn't sleep. I looked it up on Google this am and it says their stings are non-lethal. I'm ready for some cooler weather.
Hi Aly, Thanks. Yes, that looks to me like damage control. Kate Gosselin made it impossible for them to actually film a segment for "Kate Plus 8." So, they are spinning it this way. ReplyDelete15 Minutes Gosselin Style bloggers unearthed this article. It states Kate Gosselin earns $250,000 per episode of Kate plus 8 (if that can be believed)
Think about this: the Gosselin kids so far have given up their summer, they have been dragged through the heat of summer, tantrums of their mom in Alaska, made to endure Paparazzi at the gate of the house they purchased their mother. If this amount is correct 15% of this is $37,500...of that amount each child would get 4,687.50...of that amount the parents could withdraw the money for education and/or health reasons before they reach of age.
Is that really enough money considering Kate cannot carry a show on her own? The kids are 85% of the show...Maybe Kate should get the 15%....is where I am headed with this.
Oh, and Lordie bee...what happened to that other show...where are those big ratings? Could it be that this is costing TLC more than it is worth in Monkey Munch? Well, if you have to scramble to cross use your talentless on other people's shows...the answer is probably "YES"

Besides quoting tabloids and spinning stories to suit their fancy of abused children - Z and his followers never know what they are writing about. Nowhere has it been stated that the children receive the equivalent of 15% of their mother's salary. The Gosselin children receive greater than 15% of the show's proceeds. FYI - The legislation proposed by Rep. Murt has no guarantee of set wages. It only states that 15% of a minor's earnings must be set aside in a trust.
The letter also said no legal action would be taken against the show's producers - as long as 15 percent of the show's proceeds were salted away in a trust fund for the Gosselins' 9-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets.
Replying to written questions about the state's letter, Laurie Goldberg, a spokeswoman for Discovery Talent Services and TLC, said Wednesday that the trust fund had been established, and that the amount placed in it exceeded 15 percent of the show's gross proceeds.
Contrary to other lies the Zecond spreads around - the children are considered employees.
The state's letter notes that DVDs and other merchandise involving the children were sold, and that there was product placement in some episodes. All of that figured in officials' conclusion that the Gosselin children were employees under Pennsylvania law.

My biggest problem is that we have eye witness account of the Gosselin children being filmed with cameracrew from Figure 8 and neither their mom and/or dad was on set watching them. This should never happen!
Kate goes no where without Steve the bodyguard...so why are the kids going to the beach and being filmed without Kate and/or jon standing there. That is dangerous, besides being foolish, to let a Production company such as Figure 8/TLC to have free rein of your kids, like Kate Gosselin allows. And, she thinks she is a good parent.

Look at how the Zecond conveniently forgets to mention that the sitter who has been with the Gosselin children many years was there at the time. The children were not left unattended with the crew while on the beach.
Irene, that's right. There is no brand without the kids. They are the draw and it's not so much since they are older.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking back to when Kate G was crying (fake) holding that purse on NBC's Today Show. It's hard to believe how that show gives these losers air-time! Now, we are being fed that she is one of the top-paid people on television. Which way is it? Poor or filthy rich? That crap alone should show the Sheeple the truth about the Gosselins. Lies, grifting, using kids for profit, etc. There is no end to the levels they sink for more money. The term working vacation doesn't even make sense. Isn't it either working or vacation? I figure the Gosselin kids are kept in line by hearing things like if you want to eat and have a nice home to live in, you better keep "playing in front of the camera."

Karen can't seem to grasp that things change. Kate G. was not one of the highest paid performers at the time she appeared on the Today Show. At that time - Jon and Kate were splitting assets due to divorce, the show was stopped and Jon had taken much of their of liquid funds.
The Zeeple have been dragging out the Magic 8 Ball again so they know just how the children feel and what is said to them.
We know who the nuts are. They gathered here. Anyone who thinks pointing out the problems show for all to see on TV is unethical is at least 25 cards short of a deck. The guy is doing the job he was hired to do.

See how Z ignores the last episode with the chickens was filmed at the home of the Gosselins?
The Zeeple stalked the Gosselins while they filmed in NY and discovered that TLC had obtained the proper work permits. Leader Z ignores that too.
That is just my opinion, just looking through clips, trying to understand (hmmm, impossible).

I've never seen any clips, even to this day, where the children are inter-acting with schoolmates or peers, or play dates. Certainly with the paps 24/7 watch on the home there would be an indication of such as well.
So WHERE OH WHERE are the kids, their friends, their school mates, peers, kids to interact with and be kids with and learn how to get along with the outside world kids?
If reality TV has separated children in all of these shows out there so terribly that the only people the children associate with are adults...this is not good, how can it be?

Talky Janet wants to know more about the life of the children who's privacy she wants to protect. Isn't it ironic? If their school life and friends were televised - Talky Janet would be writing yards of posts about that.
SRU wishes Janet would pop over and tell me what it has do with child labor law. Come on Janet - tell us how it's about "all children." Why aren't you asking this about the Duggar's children or one of the masses of children the legislation is supposed to protect?
See Janet - You don't get to know everything about the children. She should come to "Zoin Us" for the truth. She will never get it from the Zeeple. Here's some of the things the Zeeple won't tell Janet.
The older girls have been televised playing with the children of Beth and Bob Carson.
The children were televised playing with their cousins.
One of the older girls has participated in soccer at school. She/They may do more - but it's none of Janet's business.
Two of the shows were of birthday parties which included friends of the children.
The paparazzi have caught the following pics of Kate G.
- chauffeuring the older girls to their friend's pool party.
- Taking the older girls and one of their friends to a concert.
- A birthday pool party at their home which included friends of the children. This was not filmed for their show.
If anyone can read through that contract who doesn't believe that the gov't should intervene and update their laws to address changing media, which includes reality TV and future new media, then that's sad.

This is not a new law and the secretary of labor Sandi Vito in 2008 supported the Child Labor Act of 2008 but testified before the labor committee that she had concerns about minors in entertainment and that the way the bill was written the children would not be properly protected and stated she, herself would draft a new bill.
Now, with a production running for almost 5 years in this state and kids being placed in glass house with no protections or regulations, with them promoting advertiser's products it WAS TIME to pick up on this again.
Secretary of Labor Sandi Vito had issues with the bill and the present child labor law!

And I also now stand behind my concerns about the dangers of the internet and the children being targeted.
This is one huge trainwreck - the train being driven by parents who want the fame and attention...and history repeats itself. This behavior lives on and on...and that's why there are regulations governing minors who are in front of the cameras for puposes to entertain the public. They are being treated like living props...yet are the reason these shows exist!

When accused of being a hate group - then they throw out "It's for all the children". If it's about "all children", why are all the lies, rumors and hateful rants directed only at Kate? How is it helping all children to rumor Kate and Jamie are lesbians or to accuse Kate of having sex with her bodyguard? How is helping all children to rumor that Kate has alcohol in her coffee cup or water bottle? How is it helping all children to call Kate "Mommy Dearest," "Super Tramp", "Wonky Eye" and "Tranny"?. Janet is a big liar. The government of PA intervened and there are regulations and protections for the Gosselin children. The government took into account that the children were involved in advertising. The children are considered employees under PA law, they are required to have work permits, they have limited hours of filming and have earnings set aside for them.
